Description

Black Dragon the common name for Asian Water Monitor (Varanus Salvator) with a melanistic gene variation, making it all black in appearance. Like other Asian Water Monitors, they are highly intelligent and capable of forming close bonds with their keepers if you put the work in!

Black Dragons require a large enclosure with a substantial body of water to allow them to show off their majestic swimming. Adult black dragons can reach between 5-7 feet long and are very active, so need considerable space to roam, swim and climb. These animals are a significant commitment but they are so, so worth it.

We have two babies available (unsexed) which are captive bred, which gives them an excellent start to socialisation and getting used to people.
